When it comes to a weather-driven emergencies, time is a great concern! The MWALL can be taken to the work area, and installed very quickly and effectively. A small crew can install 100 lineal feet in less than 30 minutes. The barriers are connected by interlocking pieces that allow for a 22-degree range of motion.

These barriers are easy to set up, take down, and store between uses.” And if water is already present, the MWALL can be floated right into place, filled, and sunk right in place!

An “optional” liner system can also be installed for full water containment. Liners come in different sizes depending on the job at hand. Liners can be connected to the barriers using a sure strap system ensuring full liquid containment. The 2′ and 4′ models are filled with water.  The 8′ H model is typically filled with a high “Density Foam” to provide additional structural strength, due to the water/fluid pressure on the containment side.

MWALL BARRIERS -VS- SAND BAGS

Sand-bags can be un-reliable.
Sand-bags are normally used only once, the thrown away.
Unlike sandbags, MWALL is reusable, reliable and recyclable.

The TRUE cost of sand-bags, according to the USACE (including transport, manpower, and disposal) is estimated to be $2.50 to $5.00 per bag. This equates to $1170 – $2340 per each 4ft tall x 6′ section of barrier. To put it in perspective, you would need 468 sandbags to equal one barrier! That’s a lot of sand-bags to loaf around!

The MWALL200 is also effective if you are using a silt fence application instead of the liner system. Water can pass though the silt fence, but it traps the particles.

EPA COMPLIANCE: This barrier was designed with the environment in mind. It is an excellent tool in the management of storm water and keeping construction sites in compliance with the demands put in place by the EPA. MWALL also meets the NPDES requirements, and will strengthen any SWPPP.

Safe and secure secondary containment is critical to any project involving environmentally hazardous materials. In the event the primary containment fails, the back-up system must be in place to effectively manage the spill.  If there is a spill the MWALL200 can handle it!

For well sites this barrier system excels because of the easy and quick setup and takedown.  If some of your equipment in the containment area (such as a tank) needs replaced, then simple unhook the liner and move a few of the barriers.  Then remove the equipment or make necessary repairs.  The barriers can be easily re-installed, filled with water, and strap the liner back into place.  What would take minutes with our system, would take hours with other systems.
